London: BNP Paribas Real Estate
Capitalise – The political cycle continues
On Thursday 18 May, BNP Paribas Real Estate hosted its Capitalise event in London. 2016 was a year of change, fuelled by politics. With Prime Minister Theresa May’s announcement to hold a general election on 8 June – three years earlier than scheduled – we discussed what this means for the UK economy and UK real estate and analysed where the risk and opportunities lie in a rapidly changing world.
The event was hosted by senior experts from BNP Paribas Real Estate, and also heard from Laurence Mutkin, Global Head of Rates Strategy, and Edmund Shing, Global Head of the Equity & Derivative Strategy at BNP Paribas.
Keynote speaker Andrew Neil gave his views and analysis on the politics and policies that will shape the market in years to come, and Ben Page, Chief Executive, Ipsos MORI provided an insightful steer on the political landscape.
